On February 22, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov received the new head of the Regional Office for Central Asia of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Jean-Jerome Casabianca. a statement of the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.

On 15 February 2017, a new project “Strengthening Transport and Logistics Business Intermediary Organisations (BIOs) in Central Asia” was launched in Tashkent. The project is funded by the EU (750.000 EUR) and will be implemented in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in 2017-2019.
