As reported earlier, oo December 27, the newly appointed foreign ambassadors to Uzbekistan presented credentials to the President of Uzbekistan. Then the president stressed that the country was committed to pursuing the democratic reforms, ensuring consistency in the comprehensive reforms based on the New Uzbekistan's Development Strategy.

Strengthening good-neighborly and partnership ties with the Central Asian states remains one of the priority areas, he added. Uzbekistan will bring the multifaceted cooperation with Russia, China, the United States to a new level, as well as with the countries of Europe, South Asia, the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East.

As the president said, "we must be open to the world, and the world should also be open to us - this is the modern requirement."

It also became known that Uzbekistan’s new foreign policy concept would be adopted.

The head of state called the settlement of the situation in Afghanistan, which is regarded as an integral part of the region, as the most important factor in the regional security.

“Uzbekistan is ready for broad cooperation with the international community in order to prevent an economic and humanitarian crisis, to assist in establishing peace in a neighboring state,” the President stressed.
