President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, and left for a working visit to St. Petersburg to attend the informal summit of the leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
At the summit, the leaders will sum up the main outcomes of 2021 and exchange views on priority areas for further cooperation.
The event will also be attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.
