At present in Uzbekistan there are 5048 kindergartens, 4916 of which are managed by the state and 132 are private. Over 668.5 thousand children are brought up in these kindergartens, accounting for 26.5 percent of the total number of children aged 2-7 years. Over  pre-school teachers are employed at kindergartens.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay a visit to Uzbekistan on November 17-18, a statement of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey website said.

The Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 12 received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi, a UzA statement said. 

On November 12, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi will arrive in Uzbekistan on an official visit, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said.

The full range of products cultivated in the fields and gardens of Uzbekistan was presented at the maiden edition of the International Fruit and Vegetable fair, which opened on November 8 in Tashkent’s UzExpoCentre.

On Tuesday early morning Johann Peter Traugott Tijler, the Head of Mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) arrived in Tashkent to observe the presidential elections. 

The Central Election Commission, having examined the documents presented by the political parties, has adopted the Presidential candidates registration Decision, which allows the candidates to start campaigning. 

On Friday the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Thomas Shannon as part of his Uzbekistan visit went to Samarkand, where he laid a wreath at the tomb of the First President Islam Karimov. 

Interim President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 29 received the United States Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Thomas Shannon, UzA said. 

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov in a telephone conversation on October 26 invited the Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Turkmenistan, the Turkmenistan National News Agency said. 

The Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and  President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in a phone conversation on Wednesday confirmed their interest in successful completion of delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border, UzA said. 

The Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 24 signed a decree "On measures to improve the plant protection and agrochemical services", which has approved the establishment of UzAgroKimyoKhimoya (tr. Uzbek agro-chemical protection), a joint-stock company, the Center for coordination and development of the securities market announced. 

On October 26 at 11:30 a private building on Farabi street of Tashkent’s Shayhantahur district collapsed, killing three people and injuring two, the Uzbek Emergency Situations Ministry said. 

The Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 25 signed the law "On ratification of the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention №87 of the International Labour Organization (San Francisco, July 9, 1948)."

Uzbek parliament’s delegation headed by the Senate’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Sodiq Safoyev paid a three-day visit to the United States, Jahon IA said.
