On March 16, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The two leaders discussed in detail the topical aspects of the bilateral ties and regional cooperation in Central Asia and focused on continuing close cooperation and effective coordination of efforts in order to minimize the negative consequences of the crisis in the global economy.
The counterparts emphasized the importance of facilitating the upward trend in bilateral trade, expediting the implementation of major cooperation projects in industry, energy, agriculture, food and textile industries, transport and logistics, as well as actively holding joint events within the framework of the cultural and humanitarian exchange program.
At the end of the conversation, the two heads of state exchanged warm congratulations on the upcoming spring holiday Navruz, sincerely wishing peace, well-being and prosperity to the two fraternal peoples.
The conversation took place in a traditionally open and friendly atmosphere.
