The governments of Uzbekistan and France signed an agreement on the establishment and activities of the French Development Agency (FDA) and its private sector subsidiary PROPARCO in Uzbekistan.

On December 8-9 Tashkent hosted a meeting of the working groups of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan convened to develop proposals to deepen cooperation in all areas of water issues, a statement of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.

The Decree of the Uzbek Health Minister dated November 7 has approved the Regulation on the procedure for manufacture and display of signs that ban drinking of alcohol and smoking and informing about area and (or) premises designated for smoking.
