IT-Park is developing a regulation according to which, from April 1, the procedure for issuing IT-Visa for investors, IT company founders and specialists, as well as members of their families, will begin to operate in Uzbekistan, the press service of the IT Park said.

Plans for the implementation of IT-Visa from the second half of 2022 in order to attract skilled foreign labour were announced at a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications at the end of 2021.

It is planned that IT-Visa will be issued to individuals for up to three years. Visa holders will be able to freely enter and leave Uzbekistan during the period of validity of the visa, stay in any province of Uzbekistan without the obligation to re-register.

In addition, visa holders will be able to obtain a residence permit in Uzbekistan in a simplified manner by purchasing residential real estate of any value (according to the presidential decree of 2019 (No. UP-5611), foreign citizens can obtain a residence permit in Tashkent when buying real estate worth equivalent of at least 400 thousand US dollars, in other provinces - from 100 thousand to 200 thousand dollars).

IT-Visa will be issued on the recommendation of the IT-Park. Conditions for obtaining a visa vary depending on the purpose of your stay in Uzbekistan. Applications for IT-Park recommendations will be accepted through the www.itvisa.uz website.

Potential investors will have to provide information about planned projects. For the founders of IT companies, it is necessary to provide a certificate of residence in the IT Park. Information technology professionals will need to provide certified information on the total annual income before tax deductions of at least 30 thousand US dollars for the last 12 months.

After the IT-Park considers the submitted application, the applicant is issued a recommendation on compliance with the IT-Visa requirements. The received recommendation is submitted along with the application form and passport to the consular offices of Uzbekistan (if the applicant is abroad) or to the internal affairs bodies at the place of temporary registration (if the applicant is located on the territory of Uzbekistan).

Consideration of an application for an IT-Visa will take no more than three business days. For family members of IT-Visa holders, a visitor visa will be issued for the duration of the IT-Visa.

Recently, IT-Park launched the TashRush program, under which foreign companies and IT specialists are provided with services for opening legal entities (on the One Stop Shop principle), finding offices, recruiting personnel, and assisting IT specialists in adapting and finding employment in companies - residents of IT-Park.
