Uzhydromet has warned of a sharp deterioration of the weather in Uzbekistan starting from March 17. On March 17-20, warm and humid air is expected to move from the provinces of Iran, followed by the intrusion of cold air mass from the Volga province.
On March 17-18, it will rain at times over most of Uzbekistan, thunderstorms are possible. On March 18, in some places, a short transition of rain to snow is possible:
On March 17, heavy rain is expected in places in Bukhara and Navoi provinces;
On March 18 in Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana provinces, heavy rain in places. Precipitation (rain, snow), sometimes heavy, is expected in the mountainous provinces of the country.
Wind gusts up to 15-20 m/s are expected in some provinces of Uzbekistan on March 17-18: on March 17 in Jizzakh and Surkhandarya provinces, and on March 18 in Surkhandarya, Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana provinces, wind gusts up to 22-27 m/s are possible.
On March 19-20, the night air temperature will drop to 0…+3 degrees Celsius. In Bukhara, Navoi, Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh and Syrdarya provinces, frosts are possible in places in the air and on the soil surface up to -1 ... -2.
On March 19-20, in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm province and the desert zone of the country, frosts will intensify to -3 ... -6, in the north of Karakalpakstan in some places it will be -7 ...-10.
