President issued a decree Wednesday renaming Hi-Tech City, the international high-tech innovations business district to be built in Tashkent, to Delta City.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed Further Measures to Optimize the Procedure of Entry of Foreign Citizens into Uzbekistan Decree Wednesday.

Shavkat Umurzakov, the former employee of the Prosecutor General's Office, has become the new chief of Uzavtosanoat, replacing Umidjon, who was in charge of the company since August last year. The sacking took place at a meeting devoted to Uzbek car industry chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Tuesday, and was reportedly due to “shortcomings in the work and unsatisfactory state of affairs in the industry”.
