In Uzbekistan, from April 1, 2021, the sale of high grade flour without micronutrients will be banned. This is provided for by the President’s Additional Measures to Ensure Healthy Nutrition of the Population Decree.
As a reminder, since April 1, 2020, only wheat flour of I grade and edible salt enriched with micronutrients can be imported to Uzbekistan.
Domestically, only 1st grade flour and food salt enriched with micronutrients have been produced and sold since January 1, 2011.
