The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Kashkadarya province on November 12 to get acquainted with the progress of socio-economic reforms, large projects, as well as for a dialogue with the ordinary people, the presidential press service said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev reportedly began his trip to the province with an acquaintance with the production of yarn and fabrics from synthetic fibers at Oqsaroy Vortex in Shakhrisabz city.
“Shahrisabz Textile and Oqsaroy Textile are part of the Oqsaroy Group. It was planned to gradually implement 3 projects worth US$ 54 million, create 1,610 jobs and organize the export of products worth US$ 22 million a year. At the first stage, in 2016, a project worth US$ 21 million was implemented at Oqsaroy Textile, which resulted in the production of 9 thousand tons of yarn and 4 thousand tons of knitted fabric per year. In 2019, the company exported products worth US$ 6 million, this year this figure has already reached US$ 8 million,” the statement said.
In the second stage, in October this year, a project for the production of yarns and knitted fabrics from synthetic fibers was launched at Shahrisabz Textile. The US$ 15 million project has a production capacity of 3 thousand tons of yarn, 5.5 thousand tons of synthetic threads and 3.5 thousand tons of knitted fabric. The volume of exports is estimated at US$ 7 million per year.
In the third stage, Shahrisabz Textile plans to expand its yarn and knitwear products. The project worth US$ 18 million will allow the production of 7 thousand tons of yarn and 2.1 thousand tons of knitted fabric. The project, which will be launched next year, will create 700 new jobs.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the technological process at the enterprise. The main difference from traditional spinning mills is that it is equipped with Vortex spinning technology from the Japanese company Murata. The advantage of this technology is that during spinning the fibers are passed through an air vortex. As a result, the hairiness of the yarn is reduced, and its quality is increased. I examined samples of yarn and finished fabrics. It also hosted a presentation of projects to increase the level of cotton fiber processing and ensure food security.
