The government posted a draft resolution for public input on November 11 proposing to supplement the current regulations to combat traffic violations, UzA reported. The draft document was published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the end of September.

According to the draft, from January 1, 2021, traffic violations can be recorded using both video recorders and security cameras and other filming devices, as well as mobile phones. All videos will be reviewed in accordance with the procedure established by the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

Now the special site of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate dyhxx.ejarima.uz accepts recordings only from video recorders. The video should not be more than three days old, and its duration should not exceed 120 seconds. It should also indicate the date and time of the violation. For each recording of traffic violation sent to police, the whistleblower is entitled for a cash reward worth 5% of the base calculated value (11,150 soums, US$ 1.1).
