Uzbekistan Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov, hosted the First Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Defense of Kuwait, Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who is in Uzbekistan on a private visit, the Foreign Ministry said.

The opening ceremony of the largest international Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Uzbekistan, devoted to the issues of crime prevention and criminal justice, was held at the Palace of Youth in Tashkent. The event brought together about 500 young enthusiasts from around the world. The conference was organized by Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT), the UNODC Regional Office for Central Asia, with the support of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the development of tourism.

Over two hundred units of military transport and weapons have been handed over to the troops of the Uzbek Defense Ministry. The ceremony, attended by the Deputy Defense Minister in charge ofr armamentd and equipment, Colonel Oybek Ismoilov, the command of the Tashkent Military District and servicemen, took place at the Chirchik training ground.

Among the equipment were those that, by request of the Ministry of Defense, were assembled locally at UzAuto Trailer, KamAZ and SamAuto plants, and are designed for transportation of military goods, food, first aid and the injured. 

According to Colonel Oibek Ismoilov, these equipment is only a small portion, with more expected to be supplied, in particular the latest models of armored vehicles, weapons, ammunition, air defense systems.
