Joint security commission was set up between the governments of Uzbekistan and Pakistan. This is stipulated in the Approval of the international agreement Decree" signed by the President of Uzbekistan.

The Commission's activities are aimed at expanding cooperation in combating the growing threats posed by international terrorism and religious extremism, transnational organized crime, illegal drug trafficking, and others.

MoM on the joint security commission was signed on November 2, 2021 in Islamabad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send an appropriate notification to the Pakistani side about the completion of internal state procedures necessary for the entry into force of this international agreement by Uzbekistan.
