Steam-gas mixture explosion occurred at Rishton Bosmakhonasi enterprise in Rishtan district of Fergana province today in the morning with one person getting medium severity scalds (15%) and three pupils from nearby school suffering minor injuries from the shock wave, the Emergency situations ministry said.
The incident was reportedly caused by non-observance of safety rules when using gas appliances.
The injured man was hospitalized and the pupils were sent home after getting first aid.
Police and the prosecutor's office is conducting pre-investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
