Uzbek Committee for Investments and POSCO Daewoo Corporation yesterday, as part of the President Mirziyoyev’s Republic of Korea state visit, signed an agreement to build a multi-purpose business and residential  - High Tech City in Tashkent.

The project cost is estimated at $ 1.4 billion. The City will be located on 60 hectares and include office premises, shopping and entertainment venues, residential buildings and park areas.

High Tech City will reportedly combine "cutting-edge style, exquisite simplicity and practicality with use of high-end technologies, including" smart "energy-saving technologies and building automation".

A joint working group, formed from among the staff of Investments Committee and POSCO Daewoo, has begun preparing the project concept and is studying locations where High Tech City will be built.
