Four people were trapped in the rubble during the illegal gold prospecting in Galaorol district of Jizzakh region Tuesday, the press service of the provincial police department said. Two people died on the spot, two were taken to intensive care with fractures and other bodily injuries.

Today, on January 26, the republican anti-coronavirus commission issued a new decision. The decision notes that due to the stabilization of the situation with the coronavirus pandemic, the lockdown restrictions have been gradually lifted in Uzbekistan since November 2020.
