The Central Bank decided to keep the interest rate at 14% per annum in order to achieve inflation forecasts for 2022 against the backdrop of high economic growth, as well as to maintain monetary conditions that help reduce price growth, the Bank said.
While, if, on the one hand, the downward trend and inflation forecast create opportunities for lowering the interest rate, on the other hand, risks and uncertainties that persist in external and domestic economic conditions require that the interest rate be kept at the current level.
