The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main, together with the German clinic Diakoneo, sent humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency said.
The cargo, with a total weight of about 200 kg, includes surgical sutures, fixing cervical collars, cuffed endotracheal tubes, catheters, intravenous cannulas, spinal anesthesia needles, shoulder joint prostheses and other medical supplies.
The aid was sent to the medical institutions of the Syrdarya province. Its transportation from the city of Schwäbisch Hall (Germany) to Tashkent was carried out with the support of a German logistics company.
Oybek Khakimov, a specialist in traumatology and orthopedics at the German clinic Diakoneo, said that he had been working in this German clinic since 2016. “At the same time, on an ongoing basis, online, I advise my Uzbek colleagues in performing the most difficult orthopedics and traumatology operations,” says Oybek Khakimov. Within the framework of various humanitarian projects, our medical institution closely cooperates with clinics in the Syrdarya province. Several times a year I visit Uzbekistan to examine severe injuries and perform orthopedic operations for children and adults. The team of our clinic is pleased with the results of cooperation with Uzbek colleagues, and we will be happy to provide further assistance to the implementation of various humanitarian projects in Uzbekistan.”
