Checks began in Tashkent to identify non-vaccinated workers, with over 1,000 people sent home in a single day, the state-owned UzA news agency said.
Reportedly, on January 17, the working groups checked 305 state companies and 203 budget-financed organizations, where over 1,200 employees were identified.
1044 employees who were not vaccinated were suspended from work, 200 were fined, the activity of 1 enterprise was suspended.
Earlier on January 14, the Ministry of Health requested employers to implement vaccine mandate as of January 20.
