On January 19, Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted Dmitry Kozak, the deputy chief of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the presidential press service said.

Reportedly, at the beginning of the meeting, Dmitry Kozak conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from Vladimir Putin.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the agreements of recent meetings and contacts at the highest level had given a powerful impetus to strengthening and expanding the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership ties.

He stressed the importance of further development and tapping the potential of full-scale cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.

The parties also exchanged views on the situation in Central Asia in the light of the events that have taken place in the region.
