19 October 2022: Today the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) jointly with the Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the role of women in society, gender equality and family, the Committee on Women and Gender Equality of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan launched a Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions (GES for PI) programme to promote women empowerment and gender equality among government agencies in Uzbekistan.

Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, following the talks in Ashgabat on Friday, signed a Declaration on Deepening Strategic partnership. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

The IX Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art will kick off on October 24 to last through October 28.
