The Ministry of Energy hosted a meeting with business leaders to discuss problems with EV charging stations, the press service of the Ministry of Energy said.
It was attended by Deputy Minister of Energy Umid Mamadaminov, representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office, Uzenergoinspektsiya, the Cadastre Agency, the Tashkent city mayor’s office, as well as Regional Electric Networks (RES), Yashil Energy and other charging firms, including Tok Bor, Megawatt Energy, GreenTE, Q.Watt, TezTok, Mustang Energy, Voltauto, EBB Charging and Spectre Energy.
“Companies providing services to end consumers voiced the problems they face, and the relevant officials gave their explanations on these issues,” the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry officials reiterated that the ministry had not given orders to stop the operation of stations and, on the contrary, the ministry supported the development of electric transport infrastructure in the country. At the same time, the businesses were recommended to strictly comply with the rules established by law in the energy sector.
Reportedly, the outcome of the event was a decision to study the proposed initiatives and continue discussions on a regular basis. The opinions and proposals of entrepreneurs and industry specialists were heard, which will be worked out for further implementation.
