Another six bilateral accords were signed on October 6, on the second day of the state visit of the Kyrgyz President  Almazbek Atambayev to Uzbekistan. As reproted earlier on the first day of the visit, the sides signed the Declaration on Strategic Partnership, Strengthening Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Trust and 12 other accords.

The visiting UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief Ahmed Shaheed today met with the Uzbek Interior Minister Pulat Bobodjonov and discussed issues of ensuring constitutional rights of freedom of religion of prisoners and persons in custody, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
