The Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev hosted the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov on Wednesday.

Welcoming his colleague, Nigmatilla Yuldashev emphasized that the partnership ties between the Prosecutor General's Offices of Uzbekistan and Russia have become multi-vector and dynamic.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, exchanged views on the prospects for further advancing the interagency cooperation.

In particular, the counterparts discussed aspects of strengthening bilateral cooperation to exchange experience in the prevention of offenses and crime, combating corruption, as well as on training, retraining and advanced training of prosecutors.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation in the scientific and educational fields, as well as an interdepartmental Cooperation Program for 2021-2023.

The parties agreed that the implementation of these documents will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation through the exchange of information and best practices in the legal field.

In conclusion, Nigmatilla Yuldashev expressed gratitude to Igor Krasnov for his personal contribution to the development of cooperation and presented him with the badge "Honorary Worker of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
