The Tashkent city mayor Jahongir Ortiqkhojaev launched the Green Initiative environmental campaign Saturday. The mayor together with his team planted oaks, chestnuts, catalps and fruit trees in different parts of the city.

Uzbekistan Airways has received one of the two Airbus A320 Neo aircrafts it had ordered, the carrier said in a statement. The A320 Neos accommodate 150 passengers in two classes (business class - 12, economy class - 138). A320 Neo family is a development of the A320 family of narrow-body airliners.

A branch of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical University will open in Uzbekistan as of the 2019/2020 academic year. On March 4, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Ratification of the International Labor Organization Convention No. 144 on Tripartite Consultations to Promote the Application of International Labor Standards (Geneva, June 21, 1976) Bill into Law.
