Passenger cars production in Uzbekistan reached 218,912 thousand in January-October, an increase by 41.8 % compared to 2018, the State Statistics Committee said.

Uzbekistan is on a roll with its economic reforms. This year alone, the country has issued a wildly successful debut Eurobond, kicked off an ambitious privatisation program, lifted restrictions on repatriation of corporate profits and floated its currency, thus eliminating a troublesome dual exchange rate system. 

Total trade value of Uzbekistan in January-October 2019 topped US$ 34.7 billion, a US$ 8.8 billion increase, or by 34.4 % compared to the last year, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.
