The Uzbek Electric Networks signed a 10-year take-or-pay electricity supply contract with Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, an energy company, on September 20. 

The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Saudi Arabian ACWA Power signed deals on the construction in Uzbekistan of several power plants with a total capacity of 2250 MW. The signing took place on the sidelines of the Central Asian Energy Forum held in Tashkent.

Five set of metro trains of 81-765.5/766.5/767.5 model for the new elevated Tashkent metro line were dispatched on Thursday by the Russian Metrovagonmash (subsidiary of Transmashholding), the holding said.

A new oil and gas condensate field was discovered in Uzbekistan on August 10 at the Muborak investment block. The field named Bohoriston is being developed by the subsidiary of the American Epsilon Development Company LLC.

Two 230 and 280 MW capacity combined cycle plants are being erected at the Takhiatash TPP, which are due to be commissioned in 2020.

Starting from August 26, UzAuto Motors plants will undergo annual scheduled maintenance, the company said. Car production will be suspended until September 23.

Uzbekkumir (transl. UzbekCoal) accepted the delivery of 15 BELAZ 75131 dump trucks to use in the upper layers of the Angren coalfield. Two working groups, including Belarusian and local experts, were set up to assemble the trucks.
