Total trade value of Uzbekistan in January-October 2019 topped US$ 34.7 billion, a US$ 8.8 billion increase, or by 34.4 % compared to the last year, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.

Exports reportedly reached US$ 14.8 billion (rise by 43.3%), while imports were at US$ 19.9 billion (+ 28.5%).

Uzbekistan has trade ties with more than 189 countries, with China on 19.1% becoming Uzbekistan’s largest trade partner, followed by the Russian Federation (15.1%), Kazakhstan (8.4%), Republic of Korea (6.5%), Turkey (5%). 9%), Germany (2.4%) and Kyrgyzstan (2.0%).

In January-October 2019, trade value with CIS amounted to US$ 11.8 billion and its share in total trade reached 34.2%.

Among Uzbekistan’s 20 largest trade partners, there is a trade surplus only with two countries, namely Tajikistan (+US$ 120.6 million) and Iran (+US$ 5.7 million), with trade deficit recorded with the remaining 18 countries.
