On November 21, the Uzbekistan Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov visited Turkestan, Kazakhstan where he held talks with his Kazakh counterpart Askar Mamin. The Uzbek delegation included members of the government and other officials.

The governments of Uzbekistan and the United States have decided to upgrade the annual bilateral political consultations between the countries into the Strategic Partnership Dialogue. This is stated in a joint statement following the eighth round of consultations, which took place on November 20 in Washington with the participation of the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and the U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Dean Thompson.

The total market capitalization of the Toshkent Stock Exchange as of November 1 topped 52.55 trillion soums, or US$ 5 billion, the Capital Market Development Agency reported.

The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the European Union’s (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for International Partnerships held the 16th EU-Central Asia ministerial meeting on 17 November 2020. The president signed a decree on November 16 appointing Alisher Maksudov as the chairman of the State Committee for Environmental Protection, the Committee said.
