The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit South Korea in December this year. “I look forward to meeting you and your wife in Korea this December,” the South Korean President Moon Jae-in said in his congratulatory message to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the presidential election win.
“I look forward to further deepening the special strategic partnership ties between our countries through close cooperation with you during your new term of office,” the Korean President said.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan and Korea are planning to sign a free trade agreement in the near future.
Before the year-end, it is planned to hold meetings of the Council of Deputy Prime Ministers of the two countries in Seoul, the Uzbek-Korean Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as a business forum with the participation of businesses of Uzbekistan and Korea.
