Uzbeks on 58,747 are 7th in ranking of foreigners with residence permits in Turkey as of April 3, the Turkish Migration Service said in a report today.
The ranking is topped by Turkmens, 121,990 people, followed by Azerbaijanis (85,331 people), and Russians (81,413 people). The top five are closed by Iranians (76,416) and Syrians (73,063).
Also, the number of Uzbeks with residence permits as students is 5,960 people (7th place). The number of Uzbeks with family residence permits is 15,714 people (2nd place).
In total, Turkey has issued residence permits to more than 1 million foreigners. Most of them live in Istanbul (533 thousand), Antalya (108 thousand) and Ankara (70 thousand).
