The 31st autumn exhibition of agricultural products kicked off at Almond Garden exhibition center in Kabul, Afghanistan.
At the exhibition, Uzbek diplomats held talks with Ataullah Umari, acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Afghanistan, and exchange views on establishing bilateral cooperation on the creation of a saffron plantation in Uzbekistan.
Officials of the diplomatic mission also held talks with a number of large Afghan companies specializing in the cultivation and sale of saffron and others.
The parties discussed issues of supplying saffron bulbs to Uzbekistan, development of seed production, and export of finished products to foreign markets and reached an agreement on the establishment of cooperation in order to implement joint projects on the cultivation of these products in the country.
