Earlier, Asian Sambo Association held an online meeting, which was attended by the leadership of the organization, members of the executive committee and representatives of national associations.
During the meeting, the President of the Asian Sambo Association Alamzhon Mullaev presented a plan of important tournaments that will be held throughout the year. He also noted about the ongoing process of including sambo in the program of the Asian Youth Games in 2025, which will be held in Tashkent.
“Another important news was that the 2021 Asian Sambo Championship will be held in June in Tashkent. In fact, the tournament was supposed to take place in Indonesia. But due to the beach games this year, it was decided to move the tournament to another country,” the Uzbekistan Sambo Association said.
As a result, the application of Uzbekistan to host the Asian Championship was approved. There was a proposal to hold a tournament among juniors, youth and adults in Tashkent in June. Most of the participants supported this proposal. In addition, during the competition, an annual Congress and an election conference of the Asian Sambo Association will be held.
