On December 5 the President-elect of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the head of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization observer mission, the SCO Secretary General, Rashid Alimov.
The parties exchanged views on the results of the work of the SCO observer mission related to preparation and holding of elections of the President of Uzbekistan.
Rashid Alimov said that the Uzbekistan presidential election was an important step towards the further development of democratic processes in the country.
President of Uzbekistan expressed his sincere gratitude to all of the SCO observers for their great work and their evaluation of the election campaign.
The parties agreed to continue the close cooperation in all issues related to the SCO’s agenda.
