Israeli artist Alik Irovich participated in the Tashkent International Biennale of Modern Art, an important platform for artistic expression and international cultural exchange, the Embassy of Israel said.

Alik Irovich’s artistic work explores complex literary, religious, and philosophical themes, drawing inspiration from history, science, symbolism, mysticism, personal experience, and imagination. Through his paintings, he seeks to reveal the connections between ideas, historical narratives, and spiritual traditions, inviting viewers to discover deeper meanings beyond the visible image.

Describing his artistic approach, Irovich emphasizes that painting is a process of exploration and discovery. The subject of a work may emerge gradually during its creation, while its full meaning sometimes becomes apparent only long after the painting is completed. This approach reflects his interest in the evolving relationship between artistic expression, intellectual inquiry, and personal interpretation.

The artist is currently working on a series of circular portraits of great literary figures, including Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Dante Alighieri, and Jonathan Swift. He is also continuing his illustrations for Dante’s Divine Comedy and creating paintings inspired by religious and philosophical subjects.

The Embassy of Israel expresses its sincere gratitude to the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan for organizing the Biennale and for providing an important platform for artists from different countries to present their work, exchange ideas, and engage in intercultural dialogue. The Academy’s efforts to promote contemporary art and foster international artistic cooperation make a valuable contribution to the cultural life of Uzbekistan.

The participation of Israeli artists in international cultural events in Uzbekistan contributes to strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries. Such exchanges provide opportunities for Israeli and Uzbek audiences to discover different artistic perspectives, engage with shared cultural and intellectual heritage, and build new connections through contemporary art.

The Embassy of Israel welcomes initiatives that promote dialogue and cooperation between the peoples of Israel and Uzbekistan and looks forward to further opportunities to develop cultural relations between the two countries.
