President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his election as the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of Akorda said.
In his congratulatory message, Nursultan Nazarbayev pointed out that the election results were the evidence of high trust and support of the Uzbek people to the line aimed at further raising the welfare of citizens and the country's prestige in the international arena.
"I am confident that Your Presidency signifies the continuity of the large-scale transformations which contribute to stability and security in brotherly Uzbekistan," - the telegram said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that a new impetus can be given to joint efforts aimed at the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as expansion of cooperation among all the Central Asian countries.
Kazakh President drew attention to the considerable potential of bilateral and regional cooperation, the willingness to engage in constructive dialogue in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas.
"Taking this opportunity, I propose to continue our dialogue in Astana and to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan at a convenient time for you," - the statement concluded.
The head of Kazakhstan wished good health and new achievements to Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the state duties, and peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.
