President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the European Council Charles Michel, the presidential press service said.

Uzbekistan delivered two batches of humanitarian aid to Russia, the Uzbek embassy to Moscow said in a statement. The first shipment was delivered to the Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport on Saturday, the second – today on April 20. In total, it is planned to send to Russia 5 million medical masks, as well as medical gauze.

The total number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Uzbekistan at 23:30 on April 20 has reached 1,627, the Ministry of Health said. During Monday, 62 new cases of coronavirus were reported (75 a day earlier), with 261 patients recovered and 5 people dead.

Uzbekistan Post has partially resumed sending airmail starting from April 20, the IT Development Ministry said. Since March 20, due to the announcement of the lockdown measures, mail has been sent by land transport.
