Uzbekistan and Russia signed the memorandum of understanding and cooperation to protect the rights of children on Wednesday. On behalf of Uzbekistan, the document was signed by the Children’s Ombudsmen, Aliya Yunusova, and on behalf of the Russian Federation by her colleague Anna Kuznetsova.

Aliya Yunusova emphasized that the signing of this document is due to the need to identify clear mechanisms to address the issue of protecting the rights of migrant children, as well as issues of mutual assistance in this area, TASS reported.

While Anna Kuznetsova underscored that the document lays the foundation for the development of bilateral ties in this area. "Everything that concerns children requires prompt decisions, professional action that make various bureaucratic excuses impossible. The document will allow solving specific problems of specific children, we have laid in it everything that is needed to build roads to solve children's problems," Kuznetsova said.
