The Ecological Party has officially nominated Narzulla Oblomurodov, the chairman of the executive committee of the central apparatus of the party, for the presidency of the country in the elections in 2021, the party said.
The nomination of the candidate was announced at the meeting of the party, which is taking part in the presidential elections for the first time.
According to Narzulla Oblomurodov, the Party intends to participate in the elections based on the interests of its electorate. The main theses of the electoral platform are:
- implementation of national policies aimed at ensuring environmental safety;
- environmental protection, wise use of natural resources and striving fo better conditions for the livelihoods;
- adaptation to climate change, mitigation of the consequences of the Aral Sea disaster and further development of the Aral Sea region;
- initiating reforms in the field of state and public administration, the judicial and legal system;
- development of health care systems, education, as well as scientific and spiritual and educational spheres;
- development of foreign policy and international cooperation.
The presidential elections in Uzbekistan are scheduled for October 24. The election campaign started on 23 July.
