The son-in-law of the Uzbek president, the chairman of the Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation, Otabek Umarov, has been nominated for the post of Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia, the Uzbek Olympic Committee (NOC) said.

The Authority for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health of Uzbekistan received 16 vehicles from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). They are intended for the provincial departments of the sanitary and epidemiological authority and will be used to improve the quality of monitoring the timely vaccination of children throughout the country, the Ministry of Health said.

Today, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) handed over 2,000 copies of the “Collection of Legal Documents on the Rights of People with Visual Impairments” in Braille to the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan. In 1992, Tina Gibson was nearly 2 years old when a couple donated embryos that were frozen in a clinic in the Midwest. In February 2020, one of those embryos was implanted in Ms. Gibson, an elementary schoolteacher in Knoxville, Tenn., and in October, she gave birth to a 6-pound, 13-ounce baby. Ms. Gibson and her husband, Ben, named her Molly.
