The international literary festival, Open Eurasian Literary Festival & Book Forum (OEBF), which this year marks its ten year anniversary, unites cultural and artistic figures, cultural and charitable organizations as well as art connoisseurs, allowing them to build cultural bridges between East and West. For ten years, creative people from 85 countries, including famous modern writers, have participated in it. OEBF has already been held in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Sweden, Belgium and the UK.

This year the festival will be held for the first time in Uzbekistan. The events will be held on the 15th-17th of December in Tashkent, and the 18th-19th December in Samarkand. Guests of the festival will include outstanding writer, Janusz Leon Wishnevsky (Poland), famous documentary writer and journalist Stephen M. Bland (UK), filmmaker, and comic book author Timur Akhmedjanov (UK/Uzbekistan), artist, business coach and psychologist, Elena Bezrukova (Kazakhstan), and children's writer Mikhail Kunitsky (Belarus). The festival will include book presentations, master classes, exhibitions of paintings and creative performances at the Tashkent International School, the Human House Gallery, universities and other cultural organizations. A number of events will be open to guests in advance for safety and comfort taking into account COVID19.

The festival is held on the initiative of the British non-profit organization, Eurasian Creative Guild (London), whose main task is to help promote the culture of Central Asia and former Soviet space around the world through the work of classics and contemporaries in the frameworkof international festivals and other projects.
