On December 10, 200 thousand doses of single-component COVID vaccine Sputnik Light was delivered to Uzbekistan from Russia, the Ministry of Health said, with 7,500 doses delivered earlier.

Sputnik Light is vector shot based on human adenovirus. It can be used for initial vaccination and revaccination, as well as booster when combined with other vaccines. According to the developers of the drug, the effectiveness of the vaccine is 79.4%.

To date, Uzbekistan has received a total over 48 million doses of vaccines:

2,316,600 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech;

30,00060 doses of Moderna;

2,404,480 doses of AstraZeneca;

36,789,938 doses of ZF-UZ-VAC2001;

1,341,790 doses of Sputnik V;

1,976,000 doses of Sinovac;

207,500 doses of Sputnik Light.

Of these, 35.6 million doses (74.1%) were administered.
