French journalist Didier Labouche, founder of the Georama publication, has won the Oltin Qalam (“Golden Pen”) award for the best article about Uzbekistan written by a foreign journalist.
The award was presented at a ceremony at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Paris.
Labouche and Galina Polyanskaya, a French journalist and correspondent for Euronews television, were also granted honorary membership of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan.
