A traffic accident involving a bus and a Chevrolet Lacetti occurred in Ohangaron district, Tashkent province, on September 2, the provincial traffic police department said.
The crash took place around 6:30 p.m. at the 75th kilometer of the A373 Tashkent-Osh highway, which runs through the district.
According to police, the driver of an Isuzu bus, 62, was making a U-turn at a designated turning point when he collided with an oncoming Lacetti driven by a man born in 1997.
The Lacetti's driver and two bus passengers were hospitalized for emergency medical treatment following the collision. An investigation into the incident is underway.
The report follows a fatal accident involving a Lacetti in the city of Chirchiq, Tashkent province, on July 24, in which the vehicle crashed into a tree. The 31-year-old driver died at the scene from severe injuries, while passengers in the car sustained injuries of varying severity and were taken to the city's medical association for treatment.
