The Uzbek authorities proposed to Russian investors to set up an immunobiological vaccines unit, including against the COVID-19 coronavirus, at a pharmaceutical cluster in Tashkent.

This was announced by a representative of the Uzbek Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency.

The proposal was voiced last Friday during a round table between the businesses of the two countries, organized as part of the visit of the Russian Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov to Uzbekistan.

As per the business plan, it is planned to prepare the project feasibility study by April 2021, and launch the project in June.
