Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his Olmazor district trip familiarized himself with the social and economic development projects, the presidential press service said.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Deaf-Learning Center at the Deaf Society of Uzbekistan as part of his trip to Tashkent’s Olmazor district. The Center has been overhauled, with the concert hall for 450 people, study rooms, gyms getting equipment.

The Senate at the 15th plenary meeting on Friday appointed Sardor Rustamboev as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to France.

Umidjan Salimov has been appointed deputy chairman of Uzavtosanoat and will responsible for the development and marketing, the Ministry of Justice said. Since August last year until recently, Umidjan Salimov was the head of Uzavtosanoat, but at the meeting chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev Wednesday he was dismissed from his post, with Shavkat Umurzakov replacing him.

President Mirziyoyev signed a decree Wednesday creating the Center of People's Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Uzbekistan as a non-governmental non-profit organization.

The newly appointed Uzbek Ambassador to Israel Said Rustamov left for Tel-Aviv, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Previously, he worked as the head of the department for cooperation with the countries of Americas, and before that - as the adviser to the Uzbek Embassy in the United States.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued the decree Wednesday approving the State Program Yoshlar-Kelajagimiz (transl. Shavkat Umurzakov, the former employee of the Prosecutor General's Office, has become the new chief of Uzavtosanoat, replacing Umidjon, who was in charge of the company since August last year.
