From 6:00 a.m. March 30 to April 20, vehicle circulation in Tashkent, Nukus and provincial centers, as well as between provinces, will only be allowed with a special permit in the form of a sticker issued by public service centers. The decision was taken by the Special Republican Commission to Combat Coronavirus.

Permits are issued only to vehicles used for the following activities:

  • vehicles of legal entities and individuals involved in the production of sanitary and hygiene products (protection equipment against coronavirus infection and disinfectants), as well as pharmacy activities;
  • vehicles of legal entities involved in the construction of hospitals and squares in the Yukorichirchik and Zangiata districts of the Tashkent provinces, as well as the Almazar, Chilanzar and Yashnabad districts of Tashkent. At the same time, their employees are allowed to enter Nukus, Tashkent and provincial centers in a centralized manner on buses (minibuses).

No special permit is required for vehicles of:

  • employees of the diplomatic service of Uzbekistan and other countries, as well as members of delegations of international organizations invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan;
  • organizations providing public services to the public and organizations (gas, electricity, heat supply, cold water, sewage and others);
  • organizations that provide communication services and transporting mail items of Uzbekistan Post;
  • organizations providing medical and epidemiological services;
  • law enforcement agencies, as well as special and rescue organizations.
  • categories N1, N2 and N3 (trucks) and transport of category M1 (having, in addition to the driver’s seat, no more than 8 passenger seats) - with one passenger carrying agricultural products;
  • governors and mayors of provinces, cities and districts;
  • taxi licensed with permit to carry passengers within the administrative territory in which it is registered to provide courier and delivery services (no passengers allowed);
  • delivery organizations (catering), as well as transport of passenger transportation organizations providing delivery services;
  • personal transport going to or from a medical institution in cases involving the provision of emergency medical care (pregnancy, personal injury, other life-threatening situations);
  • special vehicles serving the funeral ceremonies;
  • accompanied by vehicles of the road patrol service.

The issuance of permits will begin from 9:00 on March 29. Other vehicles traveling on the basis of a special permit of the Ministry of Justice may only be driven in cases related to the activities of these institutions and organizations. The use of these modes of transport for personal use is prohibited.
