The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Uzbekistan increased by 13 and reached 88, the Ministry of Health said.
Two cases of infection have been reported in the Ferghana province, two in the Khorezm province and one in Tashkent city.
Currently, 16 patients have symptoms of lung inflammation and pneumonia. 7 patients are in serious condition, said the Chief State Sanitary Inspector, Nurmat Atabekov.
The Ministry of Health said that a patient died in Namangan on Friday, a 72-year-old woman with a chronic illness was infected by a daughter who returned from Turkey.
