A joint tactical and special drill of special units of the armed forces of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Qalqon-2021 kicked off in the Guards garrison.
According to the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Defense, about 250 military personnel, over 40 units of armored and automobile equipment, ten units of aviation equipment, including unmanned aerial vehicles, are participating from Kazakhstan.
During the drill, the military personnel of the two countries, as part of the combined tactical detachment, will work out the issues of organizing and conducting a joint special operation.
The drill is aimed at improving the coordination of actions of command and control bodies and subunits in the course of organizing and conducting a special operation, increasing the training of personnel of special forces, as well as developing international military cooperation.
The Qalqon-2021 drill will end on November 5 this year.
